Dancing Donkey

The Dancing Donkey
So my dad bought Aiden this donkey, he absolutely loves it and plays with it forever. Recently he started dancing to it and it just makes us laugh so hard. The song is getting a bit old but the kid is so cute, who can refuse him. Enjoy

Day 6 of his life, when this really got started!

Today asleep peacefully

2nd sleep study...

Our happy little boy

So last Friday we visited Dr. Lagoc(our pediatrician) anxiously awaiting the results of Aiden's 2nd sleep study, for her to tell us it looks better but that honestly she couldn't tell more than that because she had nothing to compare it to....I was happy that it was better but bummed we couldn't understand more.

That has probably been the most frustrating thing since the first 6 hours of his life with all this stuff, its so new, no one really has answers for you, there is lots of conflicting opinions and you sort of flounder to sort it all out because the option of it going wrong...is well not an option for you as a parent.

Now two sleep studies and a variety of doctors, countless nights of that damn thing going off, never leaving him alone at night for fear that someone else would have to worry about the machine and finally today the pulmonologist Dr. Trevor said "We are free and clear of the monitor"! Wooohoooooooooooooooooooo

Aiden still has some hypopneas (these are hitches in your breath or deep dream sleep and some central apneas) and we have to watch him very close if he develops any snoring or mouth only breathing patterns, but he is healthy happy and gets to sleep tonight with wires around his little baby chest. Now don't get me wrong that machine has allowed me to sleep during the last year and tonight I probably will wake up a 1000 times to check on him, but another milestone passed.

As he has begun ripping the cords out and standing in bed it has been difficult but, now we can just laugh with him instead of being crazed! What a great day

Fun Day at the Park

We love our new Turtle Bay Membership- I can see us spending many Saturday and Sunday's there checking it out!

The world of Eating

We spend a lot of time in this high chair now that Aiden is eating lots of big people food...the funny thing is he takes all baby food and will be totally full but if we have it in our hands or in a cup of course he wants to try...no matter what our stuff just looks so exciting to him. It is so crazy all the new things he is trying and loving...Some of his favorites include; yogurt, cheese, quesdillas, Ritz Crackers (with a passion), toast, spaghetti with sauce, pineapple and anything else on our plates!

A new form of entertainment...

Here are the steps:
1st- Check to see if the entertainment center is covered and mom isn't looking.
2nd- Throw yourself backwards and down laughing

3. Realize now you have to do it again

4. Pull yourself up

5. Wait rest, first then AGAIN!

An Aiden pastime is to take himself and throw imself back on these two large pillows and the new one my mom got him for his birthday. He thinks he is so funnny and it is really cute..simple pleasures with all the new toys!

Meltdown!

So Kellin left to work this Saturday morning and no sooner was he out the door when Aiden decided to throw himself to the floor and cry for 15-20 minutes...on and off you know the kind. Then we had breakfast and he decided to have another one...I just laughed and took a picture. You can see the wheels turning as he tries to discover his limitations and ours. Let the fun begin.
