About Me

Kellin and I have been together since 2000, married in 2006. I am teaching 5th grade and he is an accounts manager for Swanson Bookkeeping. We stay busy, and can't believe that our first born and beautiful son, Aiden will soon be THREE in December!

Pumpkin Land and #100

This is my 100th blog post! Holy cow- hopefully you aren't sick of us yet. Well what a great 100- the Pumpkin Patch, we spent our cloudy Sunday afternoon visiting the petting zoo, hanging out in the mini maze and getting some great shots of the little guy in his pumpkin element. He loved it which was so much fun...enjoy!

I think I love this one!

After a crazy start of school, the 7 of us decided that we needed to see each other before Christmas break...so Kellin, Aiden and I headed to Chico Saturday morning and spent the day with the girls! Kellin went golfing all day and we had lunch, shopped, hung out at Emily and Bobby's and had a mini Favorite Things party. Then of course, we came home to put our child to bed while they continued on without us...it was different having to lug the stroller, the car seat and bag and find the paths most necessary for strollers in CHico but, so wonderful and a much needed day! Thanks girls for making it so easy and so FUN! I can't wait for Aiden to continue to sucker all of you into doing whatever he wants...:)
Dressed and ready to go and see the ladies....

I even let them put girlie Halloween socks on me

First of Many 1sts

Aiden went to his first 1st birthday party. Our friends the Lanhams had Isaac Cooper last October, they are the first in a long stream of 1st birthdays that is about to start! It was at the gymnastics place and it was so much fun! Thanks for the invite and the nap that followed...

The boys

Can you see a family resemblance?

Turtle Bay

So I have a confession that I have not been to Turtle Bay in a really long time, like a really long time but I am going to change that (I am asking for a membership for xmas). Today we went to the Walk this Way Free Event and it was awesome. Chase, Kellin, Aiden, Halen and myself got to see the amazing Lego exhibit and the new one - The Scoop on Poop, plus they had all sorts of stuff going on and it was a beautiful day. I had a great time with the family...just had to share...everyone should go next year...its FREE!

Amazing to look at other kids

A couple of weeks ago we met a friend from high school Matt and his new wife Emma, with their son Bradden at the park. It was so nice to chat with them and visit, but what truly amazed me is the universal language of babies. They were both so aware of one another and just content to see what the other was doing. It made for some great pics! What cuties!
Yes, those are cheeks hanging on the ball... I know:)
Fascination!

Soooooo cute

and funny too!

9 month old crazy man

Aiden has hit 9 months old in full swing...we have 4 teeth- two on the top and two on the bottom- and a strong desire to walk. He can pull himself up, move along the couch and the chairs, let go and hold himself up, bend over and pick something up- but he hasn't walked yet. As for crawling just yesterday he started going backwards, but he hasn't really decided he likes that when he walks he can get what he wants upright? Who knows? We go to Dr. Lagoc on Friday for our 9 month check up and hopefully to start the process of getting off the sleep monitor (his machine gets downloaded Wednesday). Wooohooo!

It has been pretty crazy going back to work and with Kellin's second job, we are feeling a little stretched thin, but we are getting our feet back under us and his thing should end soon so we will have a bit more family time. I can't believe we have only 3 months until we have a ONE YEAR OLD! As much as everyone tells you, you can't even describe how fast it is going. He is saying dada and mama when we are in the room and something of d and g with the dog but its sort of a mess. He even looked at my mom the other day and said Nana so he might just be catching the hang of all this! We love him, even when he decides to wake up at 4:20am acting starving, when he won't drink milk all day at daycare and when he spits cottage cheese back at me-oh what fun....9 months and all ready for the next crazy steps in life (booohhooooo mommy cries).
