About Me

Kellin and I have been together since 2000, married in 2006. I am teaching 5th grade and he is an accounts manager for Swanson Bookkeeping. We stay busy, and can't believe that our first born and beautiful son, Aiden will soon be THREE in December!

Our new world

Aiden has some new exciting milestones....he cut his first tooth on Sunday and he is learning to walk (already he can hold himself up and move along the couch and recently he has been standing alone without help). My baby is getting to be TOO big!
These two are when he was refusing to show me his tooth!

Look I can stand up by myself!

One handed takes concentration- with one eye

Whoa....it's starting to get tough!
Got to love this kid...Oh yeah and on my birthday on Saturday Aiden decided he would say dada, many times over and over, thanks baby for the birthday gift :)

Wednesday Park Day Hiatus

More Mazzi

I just had to put a few more of Mazzi and Aiden up together...Kyra and I see each other like once or twice a year and now that we have babies 4 days apart it is just amazing. We actually got to see each other a few times this week and have dinner and playdates! I wish she lived closer but, this will have to suffice for the time being. It was so great to see them and we had fun, fun, fun!

Aiden meets Mazzi

Today Aiden got to meet Miss Mazzi Thompson (and Tera and Ashton) for the first time. She is my oldest and best friend Kyra's little girl who was born 4 days before Aiden. Hopefully they will be life-looooong friends (well they have to even if they don't want to), we went swimming and hung out with them in the sun!

We did it!

Well we survived our first week back to the world of chaos. It wasn't too bad but there was a lot going on! Aiden started daycare on Tuesday and seemed to do really quite well, he loves watching the other kids and all the time they spend outside (we love LISA). He was really good for us to at night, tired and ready for bed and happy to fall asleep-which was awesome. We had some adjustment times to new eating schedules or a few middle of the night stirs but overall really good. I worked at leaving early and getting my butt out of Red Bluff to be there to pick him up as much as possible, while still pumping at work and trying to keep Aiden time sacred when we get home and working after he went down. Kellin is drop-off dad in the morning and does great at changing our son's new morning poop diaper (yeah we poop again daily) and was very busy at work, since Dora went to Alaska this week so he is flying solo... He also works 3 nights at the Braided Mane so that added a bit of new to our lives. Still we made it and we got great news that my sister got her 1st job from college on Friday -actually her dream job which meant we had to celebrate- watermelon margaritas at Chevy's ! Of course after this crazy week I came home and got laundry going, baby stuff put away, house cleaned up, only to remember that my cell phone was in my pants in the WASH! So Saturday morning I got to use my upgrade and get a new phone...I guess something this week had to go down, it just wouldn't be fair if it went perfect. Luckily, it was something that could be fixed and now we are all enjoying a relaxing Saturday afternoon (husband and son napping and me catching up). We are getting by and learning that life is precious. So here's to many more posts about surving the weeks (especially with 30 new fourth graders on the way). Hope you are all well! Love ya!

Aiden's First Day

Even though I wasn't there, Kellin still honored my family tradition of taking a picture on your first day of school. Aiden started Tuesday and loved it. He was exhausted at home, took an evening nap and still went to bed at his normal 7:45 time! He really loved being with the kids, outside and the bubbles. We are so blessed to have him at a safe place, with someone we trust. Now we just have 4 more years of drop off and pick up to go! Time needs to SLOW down, I'm not ready for all this :)
