Christmas Weekend!

This was a crazy weekend... we had our church Christmas dinner, the Redding Christmas parade, a trip to the snow (very, very cold snow) to get our tree and lights up around the house and on the tree (ornaments to come Tuesday night!)

our driving buddies....

what is this stuff....snow!

what a funny looking family!

Cadence and Halen snuggled in the wagon
What mom?

The snow adventure was a little more than we planned for being that it was only 17 degrees and snowing most of the time, but we lived through it and might plan a bit different next year....still we survived and I'm sure we will all sleep very well tonight!

And not only is the tree up..but the baby super gate too! that's right- Aiden proof

Aidenisms....

Aiden has been cracking up this week (besides being a clingy mommy monster) his new thing is to look at books (by taking ALL of them off the shelf), going over to our big pillows and leaning back on them and also playing withthe exersaucer in a whole new way (after this picture incident we decided it was time for the exersaucer to be retired)....Anyways....this new walking world has created a pretty funny kid....

A Week OFF!!!

Cool new Turkey Day Pj's

What a great week off- I got to be a good mommy and take my son to the park, on play dates and to run errands. I got to listen to him scream to take a nap (like he does for no else but me;) and I got to watch him play in the leaves and try to eat rocks. We had a few spills and bumps as we check out the world in cruising mode (tear...) but, most importantly we just got to hang out. Here are some highlights from our week....

Park Play time

A little bigger on the swings now!

A Visit North...

Aiden and Auntie Sarah walking outside....
Buddled up in Jacksonville- which note to self don't bring stroller= not convienent.

Saying hi to Tucker!

Ahhhhh, the cute new family

We made a quick trip up to Central Point, Oregon to see Sarah and Jeremy's new house! It is so beautiful and we were so lucky the weather was great for us. We were a bit nervous on Friday but it was clear skies and snow on the side, which made the drive beautiful. Aiden terrorized their house and got licked by Tucker ALOT! We visited some much needed Oregon musts (HArry and David, Toys R Us, Fred Meyer) and walked around in Jacksonville. It was a really nice getaway and started the vacation week off great! Now we are home for a busy week....I can't believe Thanksgiving is here, I feel like I just posted Halloween pictures!

First Steps...ahhhhh!

So Aiden took his first steps alone this weekend, it started on Friday night a couple little ones to Kellin. We didn't want to get excited, because we thought it would never happen again :) then Saturday night with Auntie Em and the DiMatteos' over he took a few more...then Sunday Nana and Papa Westphal were over and some more. It just keeps on getting faster and faster. Mom isn't ready for a walker- that means he is a little boy not a little baby. He likes it but when he realizes he does it he sits down quickly. He also wants to move so fast these days that walking alone he tries to go a lot faster than he actually can so he falls quite a bit, and fake cries to us "why did you let me fall." Ohhh poor baby ;) It was a huge milestone weekend and it makes me so happy because he is so fun, but so sad that he growing up too quick. Yes, all you moms are right- you don't get it until you have your own.
Ohhh we also had some visitors Sunday- the Meagher family came to say hi so Aiden got to play with baby Erin (his hand-me down pal and future Jackson Heights friend) - we love that we have so many new babies to play with.

Erin Meagher- 3 1/2 months, Aiden Moore- 10 1/2 months!

Halloween Night!

Our son, hated his costume as of last weekend, I mean screamed his head off and made us wonder if we would even get a costume picture. We even had multiple donated costumes, all had a head piece and all ended in tears- until we traded in for the GAP skeleton pjs that was my back up. We put it on him every night for a few minutes, hoping it would lessen the crazy night of Halloween and ....it seems to have worked. He wore it at Grandma and Grandpa Moore's for a quick visit and at the Baby Bash....when it got hot and it was time to have dinner and diaper change Aiden and Halen decided the glow in the dark skeletons were much more their style for watching the World Series Game with dad. So in our old days we would leave to go out at like 9pm but this year, we were home, baby in bed and us soon to follow around 8:30- it was great. Aiden was so much fun and we had a great time! Happy Halloween.

Balance was a little tough for this little guy with the pumpkin suit

This was much more his style!

Hi Nana!

Carving My Pumpkin

Our first Halloween was so mellow it was great! We went Friday night to JCPennys and had the three little babies pics taken (to follow next week when we get them back) but the morning of we just went for a run (without our jogging stroller that Kellin ran over this week oops!) and then came back and carved our pumpkins. Aiden loved to eat the insides and play with the seeds. We filmed, laughed and then mom quickly carved something into them so he could eat lunch and get a nap in! At 4 it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Moore's and the Baby Bash....to follow on the next blog...
