About Me

Kellin and I have been together since 2000, married in 2006. I am teaching 5th grade and he is an accounts manager for Swanson Bookkeeping. We stay busy, and can't believe that our first born and beautiful son, Aiden will soon be THREE in December!

We'd Like to take Credit

May 8th

June 6th

We'd like to think we have a green thumb, but really its probably all this crazy rain and sun and humidity we have been having....whatever it is our gardens are going crazy. The herb garden we decided we were tired of flowers that kept dying behind our big window so over Spring Break Aiden and I planted a little of everything; basil, thyme, fennel, sage, dill, cilantro, parsley, you know the usuals- now CRAZY!

Then the other garden, Kell's bday creation to himself. We started with little baby plants and some even at seed and now we have this....I think its gonna be a yummy summer!

Slide Purchase

So about two months ago I decided from Aiden's slide obsession since I am taking him out of daycare for the next 7 weeks to be with mommy, that in order for him not to hate me (since daycare has 3 slides) I had better find one for our backyard. So I knew I wanted to spend little to nothing and wanted it to be small enough he could fall off/not need me, but not so small that he was bored after a week. It has become like a treasure hunt....searching CraigsList each week or asking people around to keep eyes open for me, just for the right one. Then last week Kellin got involved....all of a sudden it was $299.00 ones he could have till he was 10 and ones that would be shipped to us and inflate! Too much for me. So I convinced him to let me go to one garage sale in a neighborhood by my parents house, we woke up early and first street we went on we saw this little faded LIttly Tikes climber. It was love at first sight (a new one would be faded by the end of summer anyway) Kellin asked, he said $20, I said SOLD! Now our little climber has a beautiful home with a crazy kid who loves already to slide and run for hours and a happy mom who can sit back and afford to buy herself a bottle of wine and toast to her slide treasurer.

A surprise

Hanging OUT
Telling me the Little People made his toe "Ow"

The looks, the stubborness, the pretend something is bad to get my way atttitude has all begun

As all of us know April and May are usually crazy months for all and although April was insane and May started off a little rough and will end busy as usual ... the last two weekends of May have been pretty mellow for us which has been sOOOOOOO NICE! The weeks of school are endless and the pain in all this pink skip stuff is wearing but the weekends we have been able to just be at home, have bbq's, get healthy and get outside again and kellin even played in a golf tournament for the first time in over a year so Aiden and I just hung out. I mean

the weeks are nuts and I can barely keep the days straight but our little guy sure is growing up and its nice that we have got to enjoy it a bit these past few weeks. I have been really bad at taking photos the last two months- its like it didn't happen but now Aiden will be able to say "my mom took pictures at school and not of me.." hahahahaha

Around the House New Projects

Our Christmas bike rack finally on the KIA and ready to go....
Our new garden - in, planted and growing like crazy with all this rain and sun

Hopefully more progress to show soon

Mothers Day

The week before Mother's Day proved to be quite difficult for us...Aiden got pretty sick with the whole vomiting, diarhea and ear infection. Fun, Fun for Everyone. PLus that week my mom had a small surgery, and many other family members had too much medical stuff going on, needless to say, that weekend we did fairly simple. This was my mothers day gift from Aiden we picked out a new tree for the yard. I wanted to get a tree when he was born but planting in December didn't seem smart, then the last year has just passed us by so we picked one out now and it is in the ground and growing tall. Yah!

Wedding Heaven

This weekend was the Foxworthy-Ruffner beautiful wedding weekend. It started Friday afternoon and didn't end till Sunday afternoon. It was a wonderful weekend with great food, good friends, amazing accomodations and a stunning bride! I know the wedding was everything Emily had planned diligently for in the last year- and it showed. Here are a few shots of the great day!
